Um, that's what he gets paid for. Just because you don't like his approach doesn't mean the jury is going to walk out because of him. He's made valid points in his crosses. Is he suppose to lay down when the witness commit perjury? Give 'em a hug and tell them to have a nice day? He's doing his job.

Of course I expect Defense atty's to do their jobs. I don't agree with badgering the witnesses cuz the witness testimony harms his client..but of course, that's the way it is...and none of us will be able to stop it. I was just complaining out loud.
