A Boy Scout honor guard leads the audience in reciting the Pledge of Allegience at a public school.
Should we ask the 9th Circuit?
It was Dashel who called this Judge back from retirement, because Dashel would not allow any judges recommended by the Pubs. I am so sick of this they lied right to your face and want to make you doubt yourself, no they would not do that? Yet they would!
Call a spade a spade they are evil!!<,P>, STOP MAKING EXCUSES THEY ARE TRYING TO DISMATEL THIS COUNTRY AND NEED TO BE STRUNG UP AND HUNG FOR TREASON!!!!!!!!
So how do we bring all those who undermined this GREAT NATION to TRAIL TO BE TRIED AND HUNG!
Let get our RESOLVED, we have to find our CHARACTER BACKBONE and stop with PREVERSION DIVERSTIY!
But contacting Congressmen (already in office) and urging Freepers and friends to vote conservative (preaching to the choir) is insufficient to get a conservative majority.
We need to SEND MONEY and/or VOLUNTEER OUR TIME to conservative candidates and conservative parties so they can run effective election campaigns to move new conservatives into office. And this needs to be done before the First Amendment expires next November (CFR goes into effect.)
Campaigns are starting now, so let's put our money where our mouths are! Let's have another election like 1994!
Thanks, and Beware...
But the Republican bashing associates that I debate via email about various issues have pounced on me in this case because 2 of the 3 judges here are Republican appointees.
So how can I defend that?
The Chairman of the American Conservative Union has done just that.
With all due respect, JimRob, do you really think electing a 'huge Republican majority' will help us fight liberalism? I mean, at their core, even the most ideologically sound politicians are still just that--politicians. It's one out of a hundred, regardless of party, that actually sticks to his guns once he makes it to Capitol Hill. I fear that electing a huge Republican majority at this juncture would result in a totally self-serving, pork-loving Congress, possibly worse than the one we've got right now. There's got to be a fundamental shift in the direction of the party before I'd trust us with that kind of power. Right now, I believe it would be wasted.
We must have Reaganesque landslides!
And therein lies the problem. To have a Reaganesque landslide, you need a Reaganesque candidate. The RNC/NRCC/NRSC, as far as I can tell, does not plan to support that type of candidate in 2002. The best we can do is lobby the leadership to get behind true conservatives in the primaries, and hope that some go all the way in November. It's worthless to have a 26-seat majority if they're all RINOs. Sure, you'll get some conservative economic policy once in a while, but the social issues we all care so deeply about will be largely ignored or worse.
I understand where you're coming from, and it's fine with me if you're a Bush-bot. I hope it's okay with you if I'm not. (I like him, I just can't support all of the decisions he makes, no matter how "strategic.") I do hope FR will continue to be a place where debate can take place, even the kind that may not be so favorable toward our fearless leader. :) If not, that's fine, it's your website...but I sure would miss it.
Stop the attacks by the wacko, extreme left-wing, Democrat terrorist's on our Freedoms !!
Freedom Is Worth Fighting For !!
Molon Labe !!
I kept coming back to channel that outrage into some action right now. Get the house to impeach these two clymers for violation of their oath to protect and preserve our constitution. Finally they agreed and will be sent Tony's link re impeachment as soon as I post this.
These two leftist clowns posing as Judges,(regardless of whom appointed them, today they are leftist clowns) pushed their own personal ACLU anti constitutional agenda and violated our basic constitutional rights with this horse's a$$ agenda posing as a judicial decision.
First of all the pledge of allegiance is not a religious proclamation nor a prayer. Next, our country is not a religion nor a church. To dare to wrap our Pledge of Allegiance and our country up and call it a religion is totally left wing anti American as usual.
Their judicial agenda violated my constitutional rights and the constitutional rights of every America to say our Pledge of Allegiance.
This ACLU agenda pushed by these two incompetent leftist judges violated the core of our constitution and our first amendment rights.
Let the house impeach them. Then elect enough Republican Senators in November to up hold and enact the impeachment of these two World Class Leftist Clymers. Then in Jan/Feb when the new Republican Controlled Senate is sworn in they can impeach these leftist judges. Any Senator not voting for this impeachment will be committing political suicide as any congressRat not voting for the Impeachment:
Thanks to Tony for this info:
Pressroom ACU's Keene Calls for Impeachment of Judges Who Ruled Pledge Unconstitutional June 26, 2002
Washington, DC - American Conservative Union Chairman David Keene ripped today's 9th Circuit Court ruling that the pledge of allegiance was unconstitutional due to the inclusion of the phrase "under God" and called for the impeachment of the two judges who came up with such a ridiculous opinion regarding the separation of church and state.
"These are the kinds of goofy decisions we'll see more of if Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and the Daschle Democrats keep bottling up the President's nominations of dozens of judicial appointments," said Keene. "The President has done a magnificent job selecting qualified individuals who will refrain from this kind of judicial activism. His nominees should be approved without further delay, and Justices Goodwin and Reinhardt should be impeached and put out to pasture."
Keene said the ruling should be immediately appealed to the full panel of the 9th Circuit Court and ultimately, if necessary, to the Supreme Court.
"If this ruling is allowed to stand, the days of 'God Bless America' and 'In God We Trust' are numbered," said Keene. "I find it absolutely amazing that anyone could interpret such general references to a supreme being as a government establishment of religion. It defies common sense. But unfortunately, that's par for the course out there on the Left coast."
Keene called on all Americans to rise up in anger and indignation and demand that Tom Daschle and the Democrats free the judicial hostages and allow the Bush appointments to bring some sanity back to our judicial system.
"This decision should bring home to the American people why the fight to appoint judges who will interpret the Constitution and not re-write it is so important," concluded Keene. "I hope every American who is outraged by this decision gets on the phone and calls Tom Daschle demanding he stop obstructing the judicial confirmation process."
And, 14 of the 9th circuit court's judges were nominated by clinton......
and confirmed by a republican controlled congress.
I will continue to support strict constitutionalist candidates......
(most are not republicans)

For what its worth: The 26th and 27th paragraphs of George Washington's farewell -
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice ? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule, indeed, extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who that is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?
