You can look at the first school book that was issed to all schools in this country until 1903.
That school book, among other things, had the Lord's prayer and the Constitution.
But the old textbooks are a great read, along with Old Farmers Almanac, the World Book and other encyclopaedias prior to about 1970, this was before all the political correct commie pinko crap started infiltrating our precious bodily fluids on a major scale.
