Whether you agree with the pledge or not, our nation is in crisis. We have been attacked and are defending our nation. The 9th Circuit is made up of the kind of people who would and have stabbed those who defend us in the back.

Disruptions to the national focus which a ruling like this creates are as bad as any weapon wielded against us by Osama Bin Laden and his army of terrorists.

Abe Lincoln, under similar circumstances, locked up people like this, as did Woodrow Wilson. It is time for "W" to send the U. S. Marshalls over to the courthouse to pick up some judges and send them to that Navy prison in Charleston.

They can await the end of the war along with Mr. Padilla.

Motion made; seconded; calling the roll. [Will be interesting to see who votes against this resolution.]
Any info on voters?

Motion just passed 99-0.

Daschle -- Senate will meet in the morning. First order of business: Pledge of Allegiance.

Go Daschle! Zinger to the 9th Circuit!

Alfred T. Goodwin, Nixon, 1971

Just for historical disclosure in 1971 the Senate consisted of 54 demorats, 44 Republicans, 1 independent, and 1 Conservative.

To all, keep this in mind when voting in November 2002.

Jane and Ted probably have many email accounts. All the emails are probably from Ted or Jane, account 1, account 2, account 3, etc.

What a laughable, buffoonish post.

Learned it from the master of such posts.

What? You are mad that someone calls you out on your past antics. Oh well such is life.

they are being replaced such worthwhile subjects like how to put a condom on a banana. If you think that's somehow the earmark of a "superior society", you are wrong.

Yeah you're right, putting a condom on a banana doesn't make one so superior.

Like hell I'm "babbling".

On that we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Go Daschle! Zinger to the 9th Circuit!

This is a smokescreen on Daschle's part. He knows the backlash to this decision will be tremendous, that it makes his scheme to hold up Bush's judicial nominees look like an attempt to preserve an extreme liberal judiciary, and that the Democrats have to try to wash their hands of this as quickly as they can. But it won't stop them from trying to get judges identical in philosophy to the ones who wrote this decision.

If the Republicans can't get 5 Senate seats out of this decision, they deserve to lose.

You are too modest.

What? You are mad that someone calls you out on your past antics. Oh well such is life.

I'm laughing, not mad.

You didn't learn the straw man, or anything else, from me.

Actually, this may be a blessing in disguise. Frankly, I was wondering when they were going to do this. The national motto is next. We are becoming a nation of two different cultures. I think more and more people are slowly becoming aware of the direction the radical liberal courts have led us. This was like a pipe bomb today. People who have never noticed before what is going on are suddenly going to wonder about this one. Can you imagine the notes home "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Parents, due to the decision of the courts that the Pledge of Allegiance is now unconstiutional, we will no longer be saying it in class."

Jerry Falwell was on FOX just after the decision. He called it, "a nutty decision by a nutty court". Linda Vester had to swallow hard to keep from laughing.

What a hypocrite -- but, hey, it's an election year. Any zingers to the 9th Circuit are welcome, of course, even from scumbuckets who may change their mind tomorrow, after consulting Terry McAuliffe.

Why am I not surprised.

You didn't learn the straw man, or anything else, from me.

Huh, you seem to be giving a pretty good damn lesson in denial, though.

I wasn't really trying to talk about race or Hispanics. I was just trying to differentiate by surname as I had neglected to copy the names down.

BUT, I am heartened to see that President Bush (41) appointed the dissenter.

As disappointing as some may find it, I concur with both statements.

You know, whenever you post such literate gems to me, my thoughts wander to Alan Funt, and I find myself looking for a hidden camera.

I keep wondering how you could possibly not be putting me on.
