" HOUSTON (KHOU) -- Two teenage girls say that they can no longer live with their mother because she is gay. They've asked the state to take them in, but it says it won't interfere with this family that's divided.
Inside a Missouri City home two teenage girls packed their bags and moved out. Seventeen-year-old Keena Green and her 15-year-old sister, Nikki, are no longer living with their mom.
A mom who says that they were kidnapped. "Yes, I know that they were," says Kilma Green.
She says a church called the Body of Christ kidnapped them. Keena and Nikki are members of the church. The girls tell 11 News that they weren't taken away, but that they ran away because their mom is gay.
"I don't know how this is such a shock to her because we have come to her before and told her about this," says Keena.
Nikki adds, "I believe what the bible says about homosexuals. And I believe that had an affect on our decision. But I also believe if she was going to love us the right way she should get rid of her lifestyle and make us number one instead of the women."
Green says her daughters, who are outstanding students, were brainwashed by the church. And that she could see it coming. "They pretty much told my kids my lifestyle is wrong that I am going to burn in hell," she says. "And if they don't get out of the home for whatever reason, you know, they're thinking if I live this type of lifestyle it's going to brush off on them."
Pastor Ron Mitchell tells 11 news the church had nothing to do with the girls' decision, but supports them. "Because I want them to be in an environment that is conducive to a moral lifestyle," says Pastor Mitchell.
The teenagers say they plan to talk with Children's Protective Services.
Estella Olguin with CPS says, "What we're going to do is probably refer the family maybe to some therapy services. Try to get them to reconcile."
To Green that sounds good. She just wants her daughters back, back home with her and their brother. Green says she is considering legal action against the church.
Meanwhile her children say they are staying with relatives.

"They pretty much told my kids my lifestyle is wrong that I am going to burn in hell" And your point is ...?

The Fifth Commandment, "Honor Thy Father and Mother", doesn't have to be obeyed, if your parents are gay...
To: Lamont Cranston
This is a difficult one. The children living with their parent(s) should obey the parents -- to whatever point is short of sinning. If these daughters are being asked to make nice with the influx of lesbian lovers, then that is sin and they must refuse.

And I believe that had an affect on our decisionEFFECT. Does this paper have an editor?

Green says she is considering legal action against the church.
LOL!! Whatever. Can't wait to see the complaint filed with the court.

If these daughters are being asked to make nice with the influx of lesbian lovers, then that is sin and they must refuse. They're being asked to consciously live in a situation that they think is sinful and immoral. What these "counseling sessions" will probably be are brainwashing sessions to convince them that homosexuality is OK.

IMHO, the commandment to "honor thy father and mother" refers to the institution of parenthood and not literally and irrefutably, under all circumstances. What if the children genuinely find this sinful?

If mom "saw this coming", why did she allow minors to attend a church that she thought was adverse to her own beliefs? This is liberal parenting at its best. Thankfully in this case, the kids were getting a good influence.

If Rosie O'Donnell says she believes in a "pro-choice" stance for these two girls'
decision to flee to sanity...I'll have a freakin' heart attack.

These young girls are to be commended for rejecting their mother's wickedness!
To: Lamont Cranston
You mean the Ten Commandments should not be taken literally? Sure. But like all other laws having to do with humans dealings with each other there are exceptions built in to the fine print. Like "Children obey your parents" is followed by "Fathers provoke not your children to wrath" There are two parties involved and if one party does not hold up their side then the contract becomes null and void.

"Green says she is considering legal action against the church." Go ahead woman, hold your breath until you are compensated!

The truth is well documented. Most kids raised in "gay" households are miserable...especially when they reach teen years and adulthood. Our teens have good reason to be angry at the adults in leadership positions, role models on TV, news "icon" promoting the lie of gay lifestyle choice as normal and healthy. It's promoting for most a lifestyle of increased risk of suicide, drug abuse, multiple partners with little intimacy, STDs and related death, abuse from partners, decades cut off the life span, disregard for their own lives and bodies...it's a self-loathing, sad lifestyle to wish on anyone. To expose children who imitate their parents is criminal.

Well, "honor" is not quantifiable to begin with, unlike "thou shalt not kill". As I said, if the children find the parent's lifestyle incompatible with their own belief, as is justifiably so in this instance, it does raise the question of what "honor" means! What would your interpretation be in this instance?
