I disagree with the court ruling, extracting God from the public forum is nowhere near the actual text or the original intent of the first amendment.

The pledge however is socialist in origin - see my post about the author - Francis Bellamy.

A socialist may have wrote it, but it's sure way out of step and to the right with today's leftist liberal.

If Bellamy were alive today, would he be called a socialist if he had the same political views?

Yet contrary to socialist doctrine no one is required or compelled to repeat this pledge; so what... in the context of today's ruling... is your point?
