The ruling affirms the idea that government can't place a manger scene in a courthouse lawn, and it shouldn't be able to force its citizens to pledge to a religious belief.

It does much more than that. If there isn't any notion that Rights are GOD GIVEN, then those Rights are GRANTED by the GOVERNMENT. You see, God can be Jesus, Allah, G-D, or anything you see fit to believe. But there is the concept that the GOD that does in reality exist has given us certain, UNALIENABLE RIGHTS.

If there is no GOD, then those Rights exist only by agreement, and can very easily be taken away.

You still haven't shown me where in the Constitution I'd find this "separation of church and state" clause.

It's found in a series of letters, I believe, between "Founding Fathers" of the USA. From those letters, it was used as a basis for past legislation.

Some argue that religous beliefs are a major cause of war and turmoil. On the global stage, many opinion leaders have been forced to re-examine how much fundamentalist from various religions play a role in social conflicts. Some argue that America, as well as the world, needs to mend fences by adopting a belief-system that translates across all established religions. Only then can world peace be achieved, the theory goes.

These fools have in effect ruled that God Himself is unconstitutional.

Once again, I would like to know which religion is being endorsed by which state or states because the words "under God" are in the Pledge? I know of course that my question will never be answered because the fools have ruled under a false premise.

Important words worth repeating.
