The lawsuit filed is over whether or not that phrase on pocket change should have ever been put there in the first place.
It certainly is not about having "God" removed from absolutely everything on earth. I've not heard of any organizations petitioning to have the word "God" removed from private buildings.

The lawsuit was filed over the use of the word God in the pledge of allegiance. Since the official use of the pledge is banned it is another aspect to the national narrative of this country that has been removed from passing on to further generations.
