We used to go to Ashkenaz....but I dont remember exactly where it was, tho it seems it was very close to where we lived in Rogers Park, where I moved to once I got married...

I seem to remember them having great cheesecake...

My hubby and I go to a little place up in Tacoma, called Kathys...the owners are actually from Rogers Park, and they bring all their red hots, and polish from Chicago...

They have great red hots(complete with celery salt), and polish, corned beef, and the most wonderful combo, sausage and beef sandwiches, ,complete with juice and peppers...

When we go up there on a weekend, we have a polish, and a hot dog...and then bring home combo sandwiches for our dinner....

Its like a little food trip back to Chicago...
