Deal with it.

I am always amazed that some people actually end posts this way. Do you realize how this makes you come across?

Then you proceed to tell everyone here how right on a previous thread about Couric being a prepared "journalist." Sure, she was prepared. Couric's and NBC's credibility was actually on the line here, and not some ridiculous cooking segment or an insult-the-intelligence-of-the-audience-stint-again regarding Lesbian Single Parents of Vertically Challenged Women of Color. People were acutally watching this time, and they knew it. I will agree with you that the producers and staff of NBC probably stayed up with Couric nights to make sure she could hold her own with Ann. She still hid behind her rapid fire, change the subject, "I am doing the interview here!" bag of tricks, didn't she?

This is what was posted in #109.

well first katie brought the book "dutch" and how the today show portayed reagan as an airhead which katie denied

If you wish to post the exact transcript, be my guest, but it will still remain that Couric was attempting to split hairs and avoid the truth.

What Couric said in the 1999 lead-in to the interview with Morris was that MORRIS called Reagan an airhead

Really?

What is obvious to anyone who wishes to be honest here is that Couric did that cheap quote as an introduction to the Today show to slam Reagan. Read the post here where Morris actually denied it in his interview with Couric in 1999, and then Katie gets to repeat her slanderous question again, just to get her claws in.

Your post insinuated a kind of "Johnny Cochran" logic. So, if the quote don't fit, we must acquit?

No. Couric proved Ann Coulter’s argument today--in spades.

I find your remarks like "NBC's credibility was actually on the line here," and "the producers and staff of NBC probably stayed up with Couric nights to make sure she could hold her own with Ann," to be silly. I think it's funny that people here thought Ann Coulter was going to take on Couric and reduce her to a quiverring pile of Jello, or that Couric would duck the show because she was intimidated by Coulter. I think it's laughable that you think Couric, or NBC, were even slightly worried that Coulter would bring down the network.
Tomorrow, the world will be unchanged because of the exchange on the show today. And all the people who were so sure that Coulter would clobber Couric are reduced here to arguing about whose legs were better.
