CourtTV gal said some (or someone) on the jury were rolling thier eyes at Feldman's cross. Missed that...and now I've lost real audio feed.
To: connectthedots
Felman is going for the kill...Feldman asks Witness about fibers that Dusek didn't address.
"Multiple red, and blue acrylic fibers"...numerous red, orange and blue fibers."
CTV goes to break...darn.

She seemed to agree with everything he said....lost the dang feed again.....am concerned w/no orange fibers found on Danielles fitted sheet, or blanket w/pocket or purple comforter by witness Melvyn Kong.
Don't know if any found in Dereks room tho...perhaps Danielle slept in his room from cookie sale day (Tues, Wed or Thurs, depending)due to the Layla pee on her floor.

Made your day, huh KIM? She said the Jury member did it ONCE...so what? There are 11 others, and maybe one of them is rolling their eyes when Dusek opens his mouth...but CTV won't report that.
CTV also reported that their on the spot reporter didn't SEE Damon do anything out of order other than take notes. Judge Mudd saw it....and kicked his sorry butt out of the courtroom...go figure, Kim.

Fiber evidence is not helping DW right now. At this point, it looks like DW's only chance is that witnesses are only being allowed to use the word 'similar' rather than 'matches'. That said, I still accept the possibility that there is an explanation or the possibility that the orange fibers are 'different' and the prosecutor is simply not disclosing that in his examination of his witness. If they are indeed different, Feldman wil hammer the point home and make it look, once again, like the prosecutor is not being truthful with the jury.
It is almost always wise to address the obvious potential problem areas first to avoid looking dishonest. Best just to adress the issues upfront and answer the questions you must know the jury will be thinking about.

Hiya spec...actually, I'm surprised damon lasted this long...just out of pure hate for the man he believes to be the one who killed his daughter.
No what will make my day is to get this trial over...makes us sit on our hineys too long.

40 red fibers off of item #92...missed what 92 is....think you are right about the red sweater......fingernail clippings from Danielle...lost feed!!

I haven't posted on a Westerfield thread for a while, but I try to keep up with all of the new threads. About the orange fibers, What color was Danielle's bean bag? What color was the dog's bed? Are there any cheap charge by the hour hotels in the area with orange shag carpet?
To: cyncooper
Danielle did try on clothes that same day at Mervin's. Maybe she tried on something acrylic and orange. Acrylic Fibers from clothes could have collected in her necklace.

Did they say the fibers are from her sweater? Is it surprising to have her mom's fibers on her?
To: connectthedots
I think the fiber experts can never say "match". But she established that the fiber found in Danielle's necklace was as close to matching as she was allowed to say.
My feed is dropping in and out bigtime.
To: Rheo
red fibers also found on Danielle

Calm down spectre, she just reported what they said on CTV. We don't need anymore flame wars. Too much emotion.

...Brenda wearing a red sweater at Dad's that night. I believe Denise testified that Brenda wore a red top (of some kind) to Dad's on 2/1.

Feldman is going over numerous >40 red fibers found on sheet used to hold Daniele's body. Also red fibers in her hair and on her body. Clark did not mention these fibers.
Anyone know the color of the sparkly outfit?
To: juzcuz
How would they have ended up in DW's laundry?
