Amazingly, enough, there's a letter to the editor in today's paper from a Cornell professor decrying the decision to have Abu-Jamal speak at the graduation:

Reading today's story on the ACS graduation, it made me sick to see that at least some ACS students (and staff?) have been suckered into believing that Mumia Abu-Jamal is not a cold-blooded cop killer.

"According to defenders, he was framed because of on-air comments the Philadelphia establishment didn't like." Right. Just like the Rosenbergs and Alger Hiss were innocent. I urge these naive graduates (and thousands more around the world, as evidenced by all the "Free Mumia" Web sites) to read the facts. Mumia may not have been popular with Frank Rizzo & Co., but the evidence shows conclusively that he murdered a policeman. Some role model.

Let's see how many letters are now printed defending the cop killer.

Ithaca is the City of Evil.

!!

The Rossiters have been prominent, respected Ithaca-area academics for generations. Nice to see their gene pool is still robust.
