Another day without the Ithaca Journal publishing any letters (from Freepers or otherwise) about this outrage.

There is, however, a letter complaining about other Ithaca High School graduates who stood to honor a classmate going to West Point:

In this post-Gulf War, post-East Timor, post-September 11th world, I believe in commending the people who work toward peaceful justice. There are members of the Ithaca High School class of 2002 whom I would have preferred to honor. They have challenged pharmaceutical companies to lower drug prices, formed alliances between gay and straight teenagers, advocated living wages for paraprofessionals in education ...

So, to recap: the Ithaca Community/Ithaca Journal apparently sees nothing wrong with honoring a convicted cop-killer, but plenty wrong with honoring West Point cadets.

Ithaca is the City of Evil.

Since the letter is from a high school kid, I'm prepared to overlook a bit of naivete. Hopefully, she will learn about the real world once she enters it.

This however says nothing to change the fact that Ithica is still the city of Evil.
