Pledge allegiance to the Banana Republic
In the '60s and '70s, a lot of youths refused to say the pledge in school.
I believe it was because of the Vietnam War. Nothing the court does surprises me after they usurped the right of people to vote and of congress to settle close elections. The court installed the president, by their actions. I couldn't believe this could happen in the United States of America. We were like some banana republic.
Well, here we are with the social security surplus gone and congress had to raise the ceiling on the national debt so we could get social security checks next week. We're at war? Billions are spent with no accounting where it went, giant companies have stolen money from share holders and gone bankrupt. A lot of innocent people have been killed; the country is in chaos. The media and the White House staff misquote George W. Bush and Colin Powell has to smooth things over. The Supreme Court really has no credibility. Anyone who wants to call God is free to do it. What are they going to do, arrest you?
Ithaca is the City of Evil.
At the risk of being obtuse, do you mean the Ithaca Journal has not published a single letter about the cop-killer celebration?
