I was thinking the same. Hitler and the Nazis just have so much more of a mystique than Stalin. They both killed off millions with Stalin probably the champ.
Part of why Hitler/Nazis draw more attention is because this evil came out of the center of Europe, from one of the foremost European nations, and not from the periphery (USSR).
