The fact that there is such a campaign is without doubt. By pointing out that it is being instigated, and pointing out who is doing the instigation? You bet. I think Jim did the right thing here.

Had the Email (which Jim wrongly associated with LF) actually originated on LF, or been associated with LF, you might have a point.

Also clearly, there are some over on LF who have wanted to stir things up over here.

Pointing out that there are several groups who all are working to undermine his site is quite valid for Jim to do in my opinion. If they are working together or all one group really isn't relevant.
