Bush Continues Clinton Agenda

Bush Continues Clinton Agenda

Referring to President G. W. Bush's new Homeland Security department, former President Bill Clinton told a gathering of Council on Foreign Relations members last week, "We have been building this for a long time." For once, Clinton told the truth. What he began constructing following the Oklahoma City bombing, Bush has succeeded in bringing to fruition. America is about to have its very own Gestapo.

If Al Gore were president today, Republicans in Congress would no doubt rise in righteous indignation to quickly kill such a plan. However, with a fellow Republican in the White House, all such opposition has vanished. The bottom line is Bush is pursuing Clinton's agenda and getting a free pass.

Consider this: Bush has already issued 57 executive orders and has already created 47 new federal agencies. His Justice Department has declared that U.S. citizens, whom it declares to be 'Enemy Combatants,' have no constitutional rights - none. Such people do not even have the fundamental right of legal representation.

Georgetown University law professor David Cole rightly said, "This is really an astounding assertion of authority. It's not just that you have no right to a lawyer, it's that you have no right to even have a hearing. If this is true, then there is really no limit to the President's power to label U.S. citizens as bad people and then have them held in military custody indefinitely."

Furthermore, Bush now says he has the right to initiate first strike attacks on any nation or people at [his] will. Imagine how future history will record America launching its own versions of Pearl Harbor.

Bill Clinton received more good news from the Bush White House. Just yesterday, he learned that Attorney General John Ashcroft is ready to permanently close the government's investigations into Clinton's criminal activities. In other words, President Bush has declared that Bill and Hillary Clinton are above the law.

Beyond that, Bush's support for liberal policies on things such as the federalization of airport security, proposed amnesty for illegal aliens, a boost in funding for Clinton's AmeriCorps program, a worst-ever education bill, and a constitutionally-challenged campaign finance reform bill simply reveal Bush's perpetual propensity to continue Clinton-style government.

In spite of Bush's dismal record, he continues to receive the support and approbation of conservatives, pastors, and Republicans throughout the country. If Clinton would have known that a Bush administration would be this successful in promoting his policies and programs, he would have supported Bush and not Gore in the 2000 election. Maybe he did.

Don't shoot the messenger, please. Lets figure out what is going on with our Republicans so we can tell them what is wrong. They seem to think everything will be fine, I don't think so.

And, of course, to convince your readers of your argument always close with a totally stupid statement.

I understand; I'm referring to Mr. Baldwin's apparent preference of Gore over Bush.

They know whats wrong! The party has been infiltrated with Democraps who turned into liberal Republicans. Wimps like Bush and McCain are elected, but have no real leadership ability without a script writer, and its easier to buy peoples love on their dime then to have them love you by your leadership. (see Ronald Reagan)

The liberal wing of the Republican party is the smallest it has ever been. The GOP once had staunch liberals in very high places - like Vice President Nelson Rockerfeller and other notables like John Cornally, John Anderson, and John Lindsey. One of the things that Jim Jeffords complained about before bolting the party was that so few liberals were in the Republican Party anymore.

I agree, if this writer believes that Bill Clinton would have ever supported George Bush for president, then I have a bridge to sell him.

As with many of these anti-Bush statements, there are several grains of truth but Mr Baldwin shoots himself in the foot by going to far.

Does anybody really believe that Bush is forming his own Gestapo? That he plans on attacking non-hostile nations ala Pearl Harbor? That Clinton was secretly supporting Bush for president? That he has personally declared Bill and Hillary above the law?

I agree 100% on the comments on federalization of airport security, CFR and Americorps funding, but this continued hyperbole serves no one except those who seek to destroy the Republican party while claiming to rescue it.

Always trying to build that legacy, isn't he? "This was MY idea all along. I just didn't have a national disaster so I could be a good president, too!"

Yes. He's even trying to make the leader a cabinet official. He calls it the "Homeland Security Office". I call it by it's traditional name,"The Office of Reich Security".

That he plans on attacking non-hostile nations ala Pearl Harbor?

I don't know what he is planning now,but there was a lot of talk a short while ago about attacking Iraq and Iran. Neither of which has attacked us with anything but words.

That Clinton was secretly supporting Bush for president?

No.

That he has personally declared Bill and Hillary above the law?

Yes. He didn't call a press conference to announce this as a official position, but for all intents and purposes he HAS done this. Sealing evidence the Justice Dept collected on them proves this.

Gestapo: The Nazi secret police formed in 1933 under Hermann Goering. Administered from 1936 by the SS, the two organizations were the chief instruments of atrocities carried out by the Nazi Party in Germany and German-occupied Europe.

You honestly think this is what Bush has in mind? He plans on carrying out atrocities?

Thanks for posting this article.

The following statements are my opinions that are supposed to be protected as free speech by the Constitution:

GW Bush is a World Government Socialist. He is even more of a socialist than CLinton.

GWBush thinks Islam is a religion of peace and has said so more than once to appease the Saudis who say that the PLO are not terrorists, but are freedom fighters (Baloney).

Last month GW BUsh set up a committee with Putin to give Russia US star wars missile defense technology and jointly develop it with the Russians. GWBush also proposed joint operations of missile defense with the Russians. I wrote about all this before it happened during the 2000 campaign because GW Bush publicly said he was going to do what he has now done with the Russians.

All the robotic Repubs on FR (not all) accused me of trying to help the Democrats win the election when I wrote that GW BUsh had made these proposals for the Russians. The very same Repubs (not all) on FR that told me I was wrong and that BUsh would never do it, are now either quiet ( they do not complain about something so bad that they told me earlier I was crazy for even writing that BUsh said he would do it)or praiseworthy of BUsh for what he now has done with the Russians. These people are blind as bats and stand for nothing of priciple. Bush is getting a pass and a free ride on this issue that he does not deserve.

I am for missile defense but I am not for sharing it or operating it with the Russians. But Bush action on this to give the Russians the US star wars technology and operational controls now has become a treasonous betrayal of our country in my opinion. There was no vote on this in COngress or by the American people. And Bush should be impeached and removed from office because of his actions with the Russians.

Bush said in his speech today that Israel should give back territory he claimed Israel is occupying since the 1967 war. THis is baloney. I guess we should give part of the US back to Mexico if we followed the BUsh plan (Bush is actually doing this in effect by legalizing illegal Mexican aliens in the US). BUsh also has proposed giving the PLO control of Jerusalem and the Christian Holy sites.

BUsh is rewarding terrorists backing the PLO by giving them a separate state from which to drive Israel into the sea and destroy her. THe AntiChrist will not need to do much when he arrives on the scene in the ME to destroy Israel, because BUsh will have already laid most of the groundwork before the AntiChrist arrives.

I also have written last year and the year before that the FBI has become gestapo. Well, soon the FBI will become gestapo for the AntiChrist to enforce world government and to dispel any dissent of an imposed Middle East phoney seven year peace agreement.

If you doubt this consider the Washington Post article today that decribes that the FBI can now search all of your library reading records WITHOUT probable cause and can prosecute anyone in the library that tells you the FBI is looking through your library records. All the FBI has to do is claim that you are suspected of being a terrorist (even if they know you are not) and the Patriot Act allows them to get a special warrant without showing probable cause.

OK fine, if you are real terrorist you deserve this kind of scrutiny. BUt what happens if you are not a terrorist but rather a law abiding citizen who pays taxes and make no illegal threats (legal threats would be trying to vote someone out of office or to curtail the powers of the FBI in court) but criticizes the FBI and the President for destroying your freedoms without probable cause.

If you become effective at this, the FBI and President will say you may be or may become a terrorist because you complain so much and wala becasue of the Unconstitutional PAtriot Act (misnomer-it has no adequate checks and balances and there is not a COngressionally declared war), you have no more freedoms.

How do we guard against abuse of political power against legal dissidents because some elected official(Bush) fears he may not get reelected if people listen to the criticism or a FBI/DOJ (Mueller/AShcroft) bureaucrat fears he may loose his job or that his budget might get curtailed as a result of a dissent's criticisms??

I am a conservative Republican Christian who supports Israel and who says that homosexuality is morally wrong and wants laws to limit it being proseletized to children in public schools.

Will I be declared a terrorist and lose my citizen rights and freedoms because I am a verbal combatant in the arena of ideas and public debate over bad Bush ME policy and homosexuals preying on children in public schools or in illegetimate same sex marriages?? To answer this question you need to ask Powell who said that the US helped create Arafat and the PLO. Or You need to ask FBI Director Mueller who just praised homosexual FBI agents at last weeks DOJ gay pride day.

My soul is vexed daily by what is now going on in DC and in our country, just like Lot's soul was vexed over Sodom and Gomorrah. I take comfort in the fact that God took His people out of Sodom and GOmoraah before He rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. I trust God to do the same again for His people before judgement is allowed to fall on men in the US who would give Jerusalem and Israel to terrorists and elevate homosexuals as FBI agents.

When you see and hear two men publicly complain about all this, who also get world wide coverage and are able to cause droughts, know that the AntiChrist has arrived. Before or even by then look up for you redemption is at hand, Jesus Christ will be in the air to meet His believers.

Love God and Jesus Christ with all your heart mind and soul and They will preserve you and give you eternal life. Seek to please, worship and trust Them and NOT Presidents or FBI agents for They will never betray you even though Presidents and FBI agents will fail and betray you.

You made a beautiful, truthful statement Sub. The ridiculers will be damned.

Yup, I was think about the Senate Race in NJ. The last Republican Senator from NJ was Clifford Case who had a voting record that paralleled Ted Kennedy. Not even Chaffe and Jeffords have a record that bad.
