I guess my grandpas getting shot at by Nazis and Japs for this country was for naught since they were not descended from somebody on the Mayflower!
Sure, I'd much prefer it if everyone I knew had a nice, pronounceable name like Jim, or Hank, or Ed. Instead, especially here in L.A., you've got your Herschels, Guillermos, Xianzhous, Abdullahs, and Rasheems. But ya know what? That's life!
Looking at your profile, I find it odd that you live in San Francisco. Surely its political climate leaves much to be desired, but it is a beautiful city... How do you keep from going nuts with all the (gasp) dark people in that city? Hey, Da Mayor is even one of them! Better play it safe and retreat to the 18th century paradise of Appalachia. You's love it there... No running water, no electricity, coon huntin' and skunk barbecues, I think you can even still own people if they're darker than you.
