The FBI was created for very good reasons. Local law enforcment is great, but some things require a national police force.

And only 1 of those nations do you have a right to a trial by jury in a felony (or its equivalent in the given country) case. Only 1 of those countries doesn't have massive hate crimes laws that criminalize the mere act of saying, INSERT_THEIR_RACE_HERE are inferior to INSERT_YOUR_RACE_HERE. Only 2 of those countries don't have a government that owns a controlling share in most of its native publicly traded corporations. You're not making a good case here for the kind of company we've been keeping for the past 80-90 years. The FBI is superfelous. Commit an interstate crime? That's why we have the Marshalls. Endanger domestic security? That's why we have the DoD.

The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) is needed to prosecute Federal offenses and when a crime extends beyond the scope of one state (local law enforcement would not have the jurisdiction to prosecute the criminal fully).
