I guess it is on one level. But it is distressing to see the degree of backbiting and vituperation on both sides, and I'm disappointed in both sides. I guarantee that the DU is loving this thread.

Well, what is the solution to that? Do you propose, as some would like, that those of us who support the president just keep quiet? That is apparenly what the others would like; free run of the site to to say whatever they want about Bush, unchallenged.

This all started on the night of the stem cell speech, when those of us who supported Bush were damned to hell by the "real conservatives" on this site. Then came the EVIL Bush remarks.

Are we just suppose to sit back while they mischaracterize and demean him?

I tell you what, I did NOT support Bob Dole, but once he was the nominee, I was very interested in him WINNING and taking as much power as the leader of our party could possibly get.

To hear some on here tell it, that's a damnation to hell.

This man is the president of ALL the people, not just the right wing branch of the conservatives. Compromise is NOT akin to surrender.
