I'd ping Registered, but he's prolly asleep. Or passed out.

Pardon me if I laugh at the man with an audience which at one time was 20 million, who felt it neccessary to "trade insults" with a few people, whom he must have known, did not represent this website. After all, he met you, didn't he?
To: Howlin
I think what you are seeing here is a marginalized ( the REAL new buzz word)talk-show-host groupie.

Well it is about time!
To: Howlin
No, it's an apt description.
BTW, as to a comment you made to me a ways back on this thread, I'm not a my-guy-or-noone person. Perhaps you remember me in front of "Cheney's house" a while back.
You also may have heard about Operation Infinite Freep--it's mentioned on the FR home page. I'm not bragging, just making the point as plain as can be.
To: A Citizen Reporter
You really do have a small mind as your last post proves.
What is your point?
To: Texasforever
Not having the time or interest to read the massive thread. . . did anyone in it anywhere discuss the feel of Bush's talk in terms of globalism?
I just kept having the feeling of him or someone after him giving a similar speech only MUCH MORE dictatorial--that it would not be suggestions at that point but essentially direct orders that uhhhhh military type people . . . unnnn somewhat after the pattern of some historical such types . . . would begin immediately to enforce.
I felt very uneasy though I wanted consciouslly to cheer Bush on.

You know I've seen all that.
But that's the last time I remember you in any way, shape, or form say anything postive about Bush.
To: Fred Mertz
"You really do have a small mind as your last post proves." Well, I thank you for the insult, Fred. As such, I choose not to respond to you.
To: A Citizen Reporter
He met us after the incident where his e-mailbox was spammed by the Brigadiers from FR.
(See, there you go with the personal attack on Rush).
To: section9
Well said, Chris. Thanks.

Howlin,
I'd like to ask a question here, because this is not the first time I've seen a person try to prove some kind of bonafides, by claiming that they picked up a bull-horn and stood outside of Cheney's house during the near coup of an election. Exactly what does that prove? I do believe that it proves that they were against something, but to me, it never says what they are really for......

I am not sure exactly what you mean. Tt was simpley this president laying out his terms for a Palestinian state. Bush did not ask to become involved in this mess, it was demanded of him. Look, if you live in fear of what the "next guy" will do then you are paralyzed. Bush has, to the best of his ability, articulated what is required before we spend any further blood or treasure in this regional conflict.
To: Howlin
What a kind thing to say! Thank you! And God bless!

For once I am at a loss. I guess some of us do more than others, but we ALL do something, if it's nothing except search the internet for facts.
You got me.
To: kristinn
How did you know that his email was from Brigadiars? I'm curious......Did he know? Were there names?

I LOVE the idea of converting Muslims; aamof I tell all evangelists when they approach me, "thanks but no thanks, but there is a Mosque right across the street!"
LOL!

I hope you're right.
I don't live in fear of the next guy. I've faced death enough times it would be welcome at this point, if it would be of benefit to The Kingdom.
It was just a feeling I had and I wondered if anyone else had had a similar feeling listening to Bush. I am aware of the accuracy of your description of the speech--at least on its surface and for all intents and purposes.
I was speaking more of an underlying intuitive sort of thing . . . an unease that it would end up being similar to a much more sobering speech in the future.
