I am implying that this wasn't Mark Levin at all tonight. It was unprofessional, boorish and counter-productive to his name.It did not reflect well on him.If he was going to go public like this, he would have written an op-ed and got PAID for it.

So, who was it then?? Your hissy fit is a big clue, but not as big as a well know send off "God Bless"...tut tut, that was a big boo boo...

I can't figure out why Levin thinks Bush is so wrong on this. He did everything but yank the table cloth off Arafat's head and zap him in the butt with it.

Great mental picture! ROFL!

Posted by holdonnow to RCW2001 On News/Activism ^ Jun 24 5:47 PM #458 of 1,090:

Whether Arafat stays or goes is quite beside the point. The Palestinians want Israel's annihilation. They're backed by repressive Arab countries, like Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya and Saudi Arabia. Egypt does their bidding as well. Bush knows full well that there's no chance the state which will border Israel will be a republic. He also knows that land for peace is a sham. It hasn't worked in the past, and it won't work in the future. Land isn't the issue. These are terrorists. Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hebollah, and the rest. The President's speech was not a speech of a statesman. It was more of the same platitudes. But worst of all, it tells terrorists throughout the world that the Bush Doctrine is dead. Yes, we defeated the Taliban, but since then we've been on defense. We've not taken the steps even in our own country that are necessary to ensure our own protection -- from arming pilots, closing our borders to illegal immigrants, stopping and searching all would-be airline passengers who come from terrorist states or states like Saudi Arabia, arming pilots and co-pilots, x-raying all luggage, putting armed marshalls on all flights, etc. I think the Anerican people know what needs to be done, and they're way ahead of the politically correct leadership in Washington. The President must do more, and he must not concern himself with what the media or congressional Democrats or the Europeans think or say about him. What's right is right. It's one thing for the president to compromise his entire domestic agenda, which is bad enough. But to falter in the war on terrorism is simply intolerable. There's too much at stake.

This is what started the donneybrook. I don't see much to disagree with. How about you?

He's been Rush's legal advisor for years. He's "F.lee Levin" on the air. I didn't realize he was also advising on Israel which explains lots.

He must be Hannity's too. Which explains why both Rush and he constantly trash Colin Powell...even though the state department is always out in the world making nice for the press. If I know that, Mark has to know it.

Levin must be seeing this from some angle I'm missing. Israel is really a bitch for some Jews. It's so personal.

Thinking Bush is "so wrong" seems to be a habit with some. They default to that.

"What I do know is that each time someone has underestimated President Bush, they came out with the short end of the stick."

Excellent post. I woke up this morning to the news that Arafat was willing to accept the CLINTON proposal for the middle east! And I laughed out loud, knowing that this was going to be one good day. It has been a great day, and a great speech by our President.

I knew that it would never appease the naysayers on FR, and conservatives on talk-radio of late, who take every opportunity, to criticize. Tonight it's become apparent who is pulling the puppet strings.

I will never look at you the same after reading this thread, Mark. I'm sure you will rant that you don't care and that's fine, but your behavior here has been beneath someone of your professional experience.

Oh please. Just because he's famous doesn't mean that he can't sink down to the level of his attackers. This PC crowd that does nothing but ridicule and shout-down anyone who disagrees with them is as sickening as any leftist PC crowd I've ever seen. The tactics are identical.

Just because he's famous doesn't mean that he can't sink down to the level of his attackers No, I take that back. He probably can't sink that low.

You still haven't made your point clear. At least have the guts to be specific in your smears, otherwise you look cowardly and foolish--instead of just foolish.

Oh, TRY to at least appear to be fair:

To: holdonnow

Now we have the President saying Arafat must go, and the Secretary of State recently saying that Arafat is the legitimate leader of the Palestinians, who the U.S. and Israel must deal with.

How recently? Anyway that doesn't matter since the President today did lay out an ultimatim and the onus is on Arafat.

Another point what is it about those radio headphones that make people like you, Rush, and Hannity loud mouthed, pompous, know it all, malcontents?

And what explains your mental incapacity, you little puke. You think because you learned how to type with two fingers that you can take cheap shots at anyone who disagrees with you. Up your dosages, jerk.

Did I say you should be afraid to say so?

But answer me this....is, or is NOT, President Bush YOUR President?

And do you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that YOUR analysis of President Bush's actions are as despicable as you opine? Or do you give ANY room for the fact that YOU might not have all the information that HE does upon which he makes decisions and takes actions?

Amazing that we trust this man to fight OUR wars for us....to make the tough decisions and represent US against terrorists and thugs bent on our destruction. But we demand PROOF that his other actions are not as reasoned and responsible as those upon which our very lives depend.

I sincerely do NOT understand this dichotomy.

I see plenty to disagree with in the comment holdonnow made. Bush specifically brought up the doctrine and used it in the speech. He told the Palestinians that they must get new leadership. He put other states on notice that they need to clean up their media and quit supporting the terrorists. The Biblical quote tells them to choose life, the opposite of which is death.

There is almost nothing that Levin or his impersonator said that I agree with about the President's speech.

You need to read the speech again. It is not as you or holdonnow portray it.

I am not going to pretend to be as knowledgeable as the people in this current administration. I do not know what they know. What I do know is that each time someone has underestimated President Bush, they came out with the short end of the stick.

From reading your post, you may be one of the more knowledgable posters on this thread. Good one.

Great comment L.L., the so called friendly Muslim "Money" will have to stand beside the Flag of Freedom and Democracy.
The guilt trip manipulation ride just ended for them today.
The endless schemeing and kinievings that have worked in the past to drive political attention will find no takers in either party.
Your either with us or against us..starts at home,
The Muslim crowd and their money better start singing "God Bless the USA"..and "Let Democracy and Freedom reign".

#481: Bush Middle East Speech Discussion Thread
To: holdonnow

If you would try to think a bit more clearly, you'll see that he is paving the way to a democratic Middle East. One that will not pose threats on a geo-political scale. The Bush Doctrine is alive and well, and sneaky too.He is offering hope to those under a jackboot of thugs, whether in Israel (PLO), Iraq, Iran and the rest. What is between the lines is that the US cannot afford to have these nations remain as they are.How many times does he need to say this before you get the point? Those regimes are toast.

Bush pulled a fast one, again.

Boy, I get tired of the condescending tone of people like you. Every time Bush breaks a promise or principle, I'm supposed to accept some pathetic spin like the kind you spew. Bush is wrong about Israel. He's the first Republican president to support a Palestinian state. He refuses to stand behind his own doctrine, which tolerates no equivocation. But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. He said he was against McCain-Feingold, then signed it. He said he was for limited government, then signed the biggest farm subsidy bill ever. He said he was for school vouchers, then dropped them in seconds after Teddy Kennedy objected. I could go on, but what's the point? Your knee is jerking all over the place.

"Levin" just blew it. We need to give "Levin" a chance to admit that he was just a bit too quick here. I am sure Kristinn will agree. I am old enough to know not to be too quick, and the eroding hormones assist me in this effort.
