How can they tell by looking/visually inspecting. if hair has been cut recently

Clean, blunt ends, no splits or frizzies--would be my guess.

Thanks..it just seems surprising to me..how many 7yr olds have split ends ?? (I'm thinking of my own kid's hair..never had split ends..)
