Great thread, Billie!! I saw the picture of my husband who was Mama_Bears Dad, and it brought back a lot of memories. That picture was taken in Guam about 1953 when we were stationed there for two years.

Say since you were in Guam do you by any chance know what a Boodlefight is? I am posting a picture taken in the Phillipines where a mucky muck General was celebrating with the troops in the Phillipines with a 'Boodlefight".

Lori has good genes and I am happy that Billie provoked good memories for you..Thank you for your time spent as a Military Spouse....

Brig. Gen. Donald Wurster, center, eats with his bare hands as he joins in a "Boodlefight" during a celebration of the Philippine Marines and Navy special forces at Navy headquarters in the southern port city of Zamboanga on Saturday June 22, 2002. The troops celebrated their success in their operations against the Abu Sayyaf group, led by Abu Sabaya, who was presumed dead after a clash at sea with U.S.-trained soldiers Friday. Hi, Grammy Bear - I'm so glad you like the thread - your husband (Lori's dad) was so handsome! I can imagine the memories it must have brought back for you. See you tomorrow?
