Uncle Wally is retiring? Pray for him, and his successor. I was last weekend vacationing near Lexington, and assisted Mass at St. Patrick's parish in Lexington. The priest there is young, reverent, orthodox; preached a good sermon on fearing
sin above all else ("do not fear those who can only destroy the body; rather fear him who can destroy body and soul in Gehenna"). The music, however, was the usual insipid OCP drivel. There seemed to be some dissention in the congregation. About 1/3 seemed to miss their last pastor, whom I suspect was some sort of hippie. The place was SRO. There's hope.
