I think you mean smart media, such as a flashcard, the largest smartcard chips have nowhere near enough memory for a powerpoint presentation of any size.

You're right, of course. I hardly ever use ours since it is much slower than using a laptop. But it is handy for those "non-technical" CEOs who don't want to mess with cables, etc. Just plug in the projector and go.
