Confirming "rumbles" out of Chicago reported here on Friday, ex-president Bill Clinton did indeed bring his saxophone along for an appearance that evening with the "Saturday Night Live" "Blues Brothers" team of Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi. The musical threesome was on hand to celebrate the opening of Connecticut's new Mohegan Sun casino, which reportedly lured Clinton to do the show with "a heavy dose of wampum from the Tribe for his presidential library."
According to the account of Boston Herald gossip mavens Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa, Clinton accepted an award for his help in securing the Mohegans their all-important tribal recognition, which allowed them to run the casino in the first place.
The former first "sax maniac," as Fee and Raposa described him, is said to have treated the Mohegan Sun crowd of 10,000 to a wailing rendition of Wilson Pickett's "99," after being introduced by Ackroyd as "the good-time president."
But those expecting Clinton to mimic Jake and Elwood Blues' trademark black suit, matching fedora and dark shades were disappointed.
Also missing from the ex-president's ensemble, the handcuffs usually worn by the imaginary Chicago bluesmen for their onstage entrances.

"The good-time president," that didn't seem to be comfortable in handcuffs.

Very few in Hollywood aren't Clinton lovers.
Someone posted a list of stars names awhile back. Bo Derek, Dixie Carter, Frasier, Charlton Heston, Ted Nugent, are only some of the repub conservatives I have heard of out of Hollywood.

That would actually most probably be Wilson Pickett's "99 And A Half".
Fee and Raposa may know gossip but they don't know much about music. They once had a caller to their now defunct radio show say something about Darryl Hall of the band Hall and Oates being in town (Boston) and they asked the caller why a band would call themselves "Holland Oats"? I think they were mainly disco fans in the 70's and 80's.

He Is Finally Gone But his slimy narcissisim keeps making him try to steal a quip or two. He is pathetic. Pathetic people make the news so we can laugh while we cry.

What the heck is that in Slick Willie's mouth? LOL

Having played musical instruments over the years (trumper, french horn, flute and a few others), I can tell you that if you don't practice an instrument regularly you soon can't play it. I suspect that reports of Clinton's saxaphone playing are about as accurate as reports of him jogging--he doesn't do either well or in fact much at all.

Or LOL the whoremonica player? I would have though he would have done a duet with Monica on the "skin flute!"

that s.o.b. is a disgrace to all music lovers.

You should be able to contact House Of Blues. I think it's still Dan Ackroyd's place.
