A funeral is not a place to preach.

Someone told me that a funeral is not for the dead, but for the living.

If a preacher does not want to perform the expected service he should decline the invitation.

And if all you want is a mamby-pamby service, then don't invite a preacher.

Good point, but the preacher should have informed the people up front that he was going to tell it like it is.

I went to be funeral of a wonderful Christian lady once where the jerk of a preacher strongly implied the mourners, most of whom he had never met, were perverts and thieves just to add punch to his altar call. Some of these guys are so bent on "saving a soul" that they have no clue they are driving people away in droves.
