I think the police are playing Mr. Smart like Elizabeth's harp. They said that he gave them that information early on but what if he didn't? Do you see the possibilities here?

What if the police are confirming as prior statements remarks that Mr Smart has recently made? It's a common tactic for sweating out a perpetrator. We could be merely spectators in a battle of press-conferences and timing issues.

That's always a possibility. KTVX ran a special on Elizabeth Smart this evening at 9:30 pm. They had an interview with Chief Rick Dinse, who said that the family has been extremely cooperative, and they have laid their lives open to the police and to the FBI.

Gee.... maybe they should check Grandpas casket for Elizabeth, he probably wasn't even lowered into the ground yet when she was taken from her bed in the middle of the night on June 5th. (***sarcasm***)
