Atlanta WSB-TV Reports Suspicious Activity at Atlanta s Charlie Brown Municipal Airport

The Atlanta WSB-TV noon local news broadcast reported that the FBI, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and Atlanta Police department is looking for a tan PT Cruiser with Canadian license plates last seen leaving the Charlie Brown Municipal Airport. For those not familar with Atlanta, Charlie Brown is just west of downtown and slightly north of Hartsfield.

The occupants of the vehicle were seen by airport security staff taking pictures of aircraft flight operations, aircraft fuel services and the Rathyeon aircraft maintance facilities over a "prolonged period of time" according to a Rathyeon employee. When the people were approached by airport security, they ran to the PT Cruiser and “wrecklessly” left the parking lot according to the same witness.

No law enforcement officers were quoted in the story and no additional description was given to help identify the suspicious airport photographers. The license plate numbers were also not disclosed.

That is all that is known at this time. Additional updates will be issued as warranted.

Actually, the radio reported that they were two white males, one in his early thirties and thin and one in his forties and heavy set. Laurel and Hardy? I have to admit I have been watching PT cruisers a litte more closely.

This is a strange report. I've been reading one of Margaret Truman's latest mysteries. It's quite strange - has 3 airplanes shot out of the sky in one day (I think this was written before 9/11). But one of the sub-plots at this point is throwing suspicion on the Canadians. It's very weird - as tho' the fiction I'm reading today is bleeding over into reality....

Given the tense atmosphere currently existing between the FBI and the CIA, some cross-department conflict was to be expected. However, nobody expected this:

There are two things that make it likely these are Al-Queda or some similar group. (1) They were in a vehicle with Canadian plates (Canada: the breeding ground for so many vermin).
(2) They are incredibly stupid, and make terrorism much more complicated than it needs to be, which seems to be a fortunate trait of Al-Queda. (Doesn't mean they aren't dangerous - sooner or later fools get lucky).

And the suspicious Canutes are White. Maybe these are some of Bill Clinton's sabateurs, planning the sabotage of the governor's plane. I suspect Bill Clinton is going for an unbreakable record of most close associates dead by aircraft crash.
