Amdocs to fire some 900 employees
Israeli high-tech firm Amdocs announced it would fire some 10 percent of its employees following the earlier announcement that it wasn't going to make the profit estimates for the for the first half of 2002, Israel Radio reported.
Amdocs employs workers in Israel and the United States, and it was unclear how many of the planned 900 employees to be laid off would be Israeli, the radio reported.
Following the announcement, Amdoc's shares dropped more than 30 percent in post-trading activity on the New York Stock Exchange, the radio reported.
