kitkat, the only thing that made Rush do a 180 was the almight buck, Rush is an entertainer and nobody should count on him in tough times, He has trashed every President since his first day on the radio. He rides the wave when a conservative is doing well. And he will kick a conservative when he is down if it means ratings. Rush makes boo koo bucks when a democrat is in office, and after 18 months of Dubya with no scandals, he jumped all over the NYT's headline that read "George W. Bush does a 180 on green house gases" and he never even read the report, he took the bait and ran with it. he managed to stir up his diitoheads and things havn't been right since.

What I've heard from Bush, since the day after he went overboard bashing Bush from the NYT greenhouse gas article, hasn't been so bad. I have the impression that Karl Rove or someone got him on the phone Tuesday morning and buttered him up and got him to go a little softer on Bush. Since I've heard Rush bashing Daschle and others more worthy of being bashed. Rush outright admitted that he had a good conversation with someone in the White House that Tuesday morning, but would have to put off until his next book relating all that was said in that talk.

I couldn't agree with you more, Mike. When Rush first turned against Bush, I said the same thing on another thread. Back then, I got bashed but good for daring to say that.
