Thanks to EggsAckley for letting me know that it's OK to be a conservative and suffer from chronic depression. And also for introducing me to the online diary site she uses, which I now have over 60 entries on in only four weeks. She's going through a tough time right now, I won't say why, out of respect for her privacy.

And thanks to all who tolerate the fact that I mostly just make ironic jokes, arcane references, puns, and bash the prominent Democratic 'leadership'. I am so proud of some of my jokes, and I love reading the first reply of someone who 'gets it'. For example, there was an article about North Korean No-Dong missiles, and I joked that the guidance system runs on eunuchs. Nobody seemed to get the joke. Too subtle? Or not funny? Hint: it works on two levels.

Anyway, thanks to the resident humorists and super-posters who give me something to laugh at, or to read late at night.

And not to be sappy, but thank you, U.S. military. You are putting your lives on the line for the freedom I enjoy. No thanks will ever be enough. I just hope to be worthy of your sacrifice.
