Dog, it's rock'n'roll time in Memphis.

Everyone, sorry for the double ping but you got to see the surveillance video. From a camera that look's like it's from an auto mechanic or taxi base, invisible from the street, straight on the perp running to his car. Also, a guy in a pink shirt looking right at him (he should be careful!!)

Go to this link: Surveillance video of shooting suspect's getaway and click "Play video". Video comes up in upper righthand corner.

Also video at www.wreg.com, but unstable.

Here's some more info:

Good work by Memphis, TN - Prominent Memphis Attorney Robert M. Friedman was shot and killed in a North Main street parking deck this morning. Friedman is a senior partner of the Law Offices of Friedman, Sissman, and Heaton, P.C. and was apparently on his way to work when he was shot and killed on the 4th floor of the parking deck at 100 North Main. Police say Friedman had just gotten out of his Mercedes Benz, when a man walked up and shot him. The suspect in the shooting is described as a black man, with corn-row braids, wearing a black pin stripe suit, his shirt open at the collar, around 6' to 6'2" tall, and left the scene in a blue Toyota Corolla that was parked on Jefferson Street. Originally police said the suspect was last seen running west on Jefferson before getting on a Mata bus. Now surveillance video shows the suspect got into a Toyota to flee the scene.

Check out Robert Friedman's web page at http://www.tennlawyer.com/robe rtmfriedman.htm . This is an attorney who's been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court since 1983. He's also quite involved in politics: Under community affiliations, he lists his contributing membership to the Democratic National Committee and his membership in the NRA, among others.
