Oh no! What a shame! The man was a HERO and generations are in his debt.
God Bless him and keep him.

I am so sorry. One more candle extinguished. If half the people in this country would read just one of his books,we would see so many changes.

I still have two of his old books on my bookshelf from 20 years ago, "Trilaterals over Washington", Vols. 1 and 2. Sadly, it appears they were correct, a gradual slide toward one-world government continues, although I think it will be one of the world's temporary calamities. Nationalism is impossible to kill forever IMHO.

Really will miss Tony. - It was a shame that he had to stop writing the Phoenix Letter; what a fount of information!
In his later years he sort of got distracted into New Age nonsense that considerably weakened his support base, but I still hope I can stay as sharp as he did.

Since this thread is a little light I though I should share some of Sutton's ideas with our fellow Freepers.
Sutton argued that the leaders of the West believe in a Hegelian view of the world. Specifically,
(1) Man has no individual rights. Man exists to serve the state. (uh, that is, you and I do. The elites can do whatever they want.)
(2) A world government is the ultimate goal, with the abolition of cultural, religious, and all other differences. (I believe there is a eugenics engineering aspect to this goal as well, but I do not attribute this view to Sutton.)
(3) To fool the "outsiders" the Hegelian method of "dialectic" is used. Conflicts are created, both sides are funded and led by secret "insiders", and out of the conflict (thesis and antithesis) comes the "middle", "moderate" solution which is always designed by the "insiders".
(4) The "insiders" are authorized to lie, cheat, steal, and kill if necessary to keep the ball rolling.
(5) They seek control of governments, political parties, media, religion, education, etc. etc. etc.
----- The relevance of all this to today's headlines is rather clear. One recent example is the Catholic Church. Clearly that institution has been subverted beyond recognition, and appears unwilling or unable to clean house. The doctrine of the Church bears virtually no relation to Church doctrine of even a hundred years ago. An alien force has taken over, with an agenda that fits in rather nicely with the New World Order agenda. Hmmmm.
Oh, yes, and did I mention that the most important attribute of a leader for these folks is that the leader must be "blackmailable"-- they must have sexual or other foibles that would prove destructive of their careers if exposed to the public eye.
Hmmmmm.
Anthony Sutton may be gone, but the "evildoers" he wrote about are probably speaking on all the television networks and talk shows as I write this.....
