WESTERFIELD TRIAL: Week Three - Day Four
San Diego Courtroom Trial | none

Posted on 06/19/2002 8:45:03 PM PDT by NatureGirl

Here's the new thread, all ready for Thursday.

Testimony recently discussed includes fingerprint evidence, as well as Westerfield's clean laundry. The Van Dam home was (strangely) devoid of fingerprints, except for a couple of latents that didn't match any of the pizza party people or, apparently, David Westerfield.

Westerfield's motorhome didn't contain any of his fingerprints, but did have one print from Danielle L. (the daughter of Westerfield's ex-girlfriend), Jennifer (a friend of Danielle L.), and a partial from Danielle Van Dam.

The prosecution said yesterday that they would be finished "in seven court days".

That would be the right time for school pics here in Texas. Don't know about Ca.

I don't know...looking at the two pics together she looks so much younger in the first one. But I can't really tell with girls cause I've got only boys.

She had her hair layered....Feldman touched on ID'ing if hair had been tapered before performing mitochondrial testing...don't know what it means, if anything.

Doesn't it look like she's missing both canine teeth (I think that's what they're called)-- the ones on both sides of the 2 front teeth? When they say she may be missing some teeth they couldn't find, I would assume they know the ones that are already missing, right? That would be too obvious a mistake.

I remember when the ME described the teeth missing from her body. They found one, but 2 were still missing. The 2 missing teeth he described seemed to be the 2 she is missing in that pic. Am I wrong, or was the obvious overlooked?

Those pics are at least 6 months apart. I have an 8 year old daughter, she never missed the same teeth for 6 months, new ones popped right in. But Danielle seems to still be missing the same teeth months later.

They could not have overlooked and erred on something like that, could they??

Now I'm gonna have to read the ME and dentist transcript to see what they are talking about.

That choker necklace still bugs me. Mrs Poster found a website months ago about sickos forcing "slaves" to wear chokers as a sign of submission.

Well, I had thought that my question seemed so obvious and must have been addressed since I have missed quite a bit of information & testimony. Wouldn't her parents KNOW exactly which of her teeth would be missing or how many are missing due to natural baby teeth being replaced?

I had assumed that prosecution/defense would've asked. But, then again, BvD didn't know her kids' dentist's name.

Someone else mentioned that 7 yr olds have teeth being replaced all the time. Who would know if she didn't have a loose tooth already & any slight bit of "trauma" would've dislodged it without blaming it on suffocation? Would the parents admit that she had a loose baby tooth? Or would that just help the defense? "Oh no, no trauma, her teeth were going to fall out in a week or so anyway."

I only have boys so not sure about little girls "jewelry" habits....find it odd myself that one would want to wear it constantly but other mothers have posted that they do.

Iremember when he described the teeth that were missing. We looked at her pic and both of us were sure that the teeth he described as missing were the teeth missing in the photos.

Oh heck, Brenda wouldn't say sh$t if she had a mouthfull. Look at the pic, either she has really bad gapped teeth, or a couple are missing.

Well, he was right; they were missing. She probably traded them each for a nice shiny quarter. Wouldn't that be funny? Everyone's looking for her teeth and they were gone last year.

Mine would not wear one. Have never seen any friends/classmates wear one. My experience with my daughter, she hates anything tight, be it jewlery, clothes, whatever.

LOL.

He even had a diagram of the missing teeth and it looked just like the teeth missing in the picture.

Can't say that I have seen any one wear one but not around little girls much....looks like it would pinch the skin.

Well, if this is all true, and they're looking for pre-abduction-lost teeth, then someone's going to look awfully silly. I think they must have taken this into account; I just wouldn't believe it. It's too obvious.

Funny story for everyone.

The other night my wife went out with a friend, she was gone til 2am. I put our 2 kids to bed, actually locked up the house, checked the kids and went to bed. When the Mrs came home, she came home alone, did not smoke pot, was not drunk, checked on the kids and went to bed. We had no drugs, no pizza party, no sex party. When we awoke in the morning, our kids were still here!!

And Brenda said it could hapen to anyone. I guess she lied.
