Right now the show airs in Jerusalem at 5 am, 11 am, and noon. If MSNBC changes it to 4 pm Eastern time, it will air in Jerusalem at 11 pm. Aren't most people in Israel either asleep or at work during current show times?
Wouldn't it actually be 5 am, 8 am, and noon? Pretty good viewing hours for the news, if you ask me.
BTW, someone claimed that Keyes was offered a 5 p.m. ET slot. That would be midnight in Israel.
I don't know about you, but I hardly ever watch TV that late at night--at 12 am or 11 pm. In fact, Fox News during breakfast and lunch and Keyes during dinner is my schedule. And sometimes reruns of the Cosby Show . . . but that's probably more information than you need.
In any case, the Israeli viewers are out there watching and appreciating Keyes' show. There's no denying that. Whether this factored into Keyes' desire to fight for his current timeslot, I don't know. It was just a possibility that came to my mind.
