Why, the politically correct "international community" would come down on Israel like a ton of bricks: "Bad Israel -- how dare she defend herself??? Look at all those innocent Palestinian women and children she's murdering. She is perpetrating a holocaust of the innocents."

We already saw the UN, US (blame America) and the European community 'protests' in this very manner regarding the IDF 'occupation' of Jennin and Church of the Nativity area.

The Israelis are determined to smash the PA, and they are not interested in protecting its citizens...

As currently constituted, the PA is a terrorist organization and Israel a democracy protecting its citizens. Do you think Israel is conducting military action in the PA areas because of the 20-month old Intifada aimed at killing as many innocent Jews as possible ... or just for kicks and grins?

But you are right... Ben-Gurion knew this would happen. He fought for a two party system. But he couldn't get Israel to agree... There are some "parties" in the Knesset who have one seat, one vote, and are able to hi-jack the government for their specific cause. Compromise, compromise, compromise... and you get no where.

My 2 cents. Jordan is already scared of their Pal population. They won't let them in the army etc. The only way they will take them is if they are somehow forced to do so. Any more Pals in Jordan and it will become de facto Palestine.
