The little lady said she felt something last night. Last time that happened was about 150 years ago too!

Running on the Associated Press Wire ....

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ An earthquake rattled portions of the Midwest and South on Tuesday, but authorities had no immediate reports of damage.

The quake, which struck at 12:37 p.m. CDT, registered a magnitude of 5.0, said John Bellini with the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo., which tracks earthquakes.

The epicenter was 10 miles northwest of Evansville, Ind., he said.

Spoke to my brother who works on the 10th floor of an office building in downtown Louisville. He said they felt it pretty good. Building swayed.

Wow -we didn't feel a thing here in southern IN!!

We only live 1 1/2 hours east of Evansville - right across the Ohio River from Louisville.

I'll call my parent and in-laws in northern Cincinnati and northern KY to see if they felt anything.

I felt it about the time that was mentioned. {I'm about 25 miles NE of Indianapolis.) Thought it might have been a big truck - I'm on a state highway.

My wife called to report a minor rumble in Indianapolis. She works on an upper floor and it rattled some trinkets in her office but a co-worker who was on the street at the time felt nothing.

I have to say, I'm quite pleased we've made it 81 replies and haven't had a single moron claim this earthquake is a warning from God to America about having legal abortion or not supporting Israel enough or not going back to a gold standard or some other such nonsense. FR is making progress.

Though, you have to admit, Evansville is known throughout the country as a den of perverse vice and sin.

Report from Indianapolis' north side: My computer monitor sits on a pedestal, and it started gently rocking back and forth. I asked out loud if we were having an earthquake, and my co-workers chuckled. Seems I called it dead on, eh?

Ready for this? The other night a guest on the ART BELL SHOW, among other premonitions, said that he foresaw a HUGE earthquake occurring along the lower New Madrid Fault within a short time (year or less.) Is today's quake the beginning? Shudder!

Now, naysayers, don't be too hard on me. I'm just reporting what I heard.

I felt it, but I was sleeping in a waterbed. It woke me up. It felt like running over rumble strips on the highway for about 5 seconds. I thought I was dreaming. I live in SW In., 30 mi. N of Evansville, In. I haven't felt the other quakes, probably just the biggest one.
