If this is so, then the public needs to know and Congress needs to understand that we are sick of being held down by excessive taxation, and that the law which upholds the power of the IRS to remove our money from us is now suspect.

Oh yeah. Since 1913, the government has been taking our money illegally and, until now, no one has challenged it. And even though the 16th Amendment is IN the Constitution, it's not really there. It just snuck in by itself when no one was looking. And no one even noticed it. Oh yeah. That's believable.
