It's pretty damn easy to sit in your cushy glass house passing judement on whole nations when you know that your billions are going to protect you and your family from any grief.

And as we all know, people with glass houses should not throw stones.

Ted Turner is right, you have to look at the whole picture, as it has evolved since the end of WWII, not just the politically correct view. It seems people just love to hate Ted Turner. I heard a lecture he gave once to students at Harvard -- Ted Turner is no idiot.

As for Jane Fonda, people love to hate her too. Regarding her trips to Viet Nam -- don't you think if this government had not enabled her going over there, it never would have happened. The leading policy makers realized the war was a mistake, it's all out there; the McNamarra Book, the truth about the Gulf of Tonkin, I think they just let Jane go so she could take the heat when it was over. They knew that much of the American public would take it at face value and direct their anger toward her -- and, they still do.
