Conservative lawmakers and activists disappointed with President Bush's first 18 months in office are calling into question his tactics and strategy in advancing the conservative agenda.

"The president for the most part has been our guy," said House Majority Leader Dick Armey, Texas Republican and a prominent conservative on Capitol Hill. "A few times we disagree."

The basic problem is that Bush is a coward. He is not willing to fight for anything. He caves at the first sign of pressure.

President Bush didn't cave while he was governor when under tremendous pressure to stay the execution of Karla Faye Tucker, from the pope and the religious right in his own party. He deployed the military for the right reasons. White collar economic terrorists are nervous in their mult-imillion dollar caves. This administration has gone after more CRIMINALS than any in memory. I share the same skepticism as others on many other issues, but many enemies of FREEDOM are taking a hit.

Sabertooth, the devisive ones can take their rhetoric back to kindergarten for all I care. We're NOT switching to another Republican and we're sure as hell not throwing our votes away on a libertarian or dumocrap...It ain't hap'nin'...They're wasting their breath. They may as well go off into a corner and eat paste or mess with the fingerpaints.

It is better to hold to truth and let the chips fall where they may.

Amen.

I busted ass for BOTH Bush brothers during their respective elections (I live in Florida). I'll put my activism to get GWB elected up against any Bush-bot, "pop-politcs" piker on this forum. I have live bodies on this forum that can attest to this.

We were all hopeful, but too bad he turned out to be a neo-pinko. Screw neo-pinkos and screw this "new tone" horses**t. "New Tone" = keep all of the leftist slut detractors from saying bad things about you.

This is not what I signed up for.

My, aren't we in a good mood today? But then again, your comments aren't in the lest bit divisive, are they?

Excuse me while I go prepare the daily swoonfest and waterproof my keyboard.

You ladies have learned a new word from the liberal media: "divisive". Henceforth, anyone who disagrees with you will be labeled "divisive". I can live with that. Enjoy the daily dose. That's one thread you can count on having to yourselves as far as I'm concerned. I popped in once about a year ago and snickered a little. I won't do it again.

You ladoes aren't going to be divided, at least not until Bush is out of office. Toodles, and no hard feelings.

Well, I guess my definition of divisive is a little different. As many here have said, you can disagree with the President all you want. But what makes matters become divisive are the snide little remarks such as 'droolfest', 'axis of whining...' Instead of debating political differences, it turns into a mean-spirited, naming-calling rebuffs that look more like childlike chaos in the romper room than a conservative forum where intelligent people gather.

That whithstanding, I'm headed back to the daily dose. Au revior.

"If you keep emulating Clinton, eventually you become Clinton," Mr. Tancredo said. Several other Republican lawmakers who declined to be named expressed that same concern.

No, ma'am, it isn't. You will pretend that it is, but what all of you Bush fans really want is for everyone to move together in one direction like a swarm of lemmings. Bush's actions have caused the division among those who voted for him. I'm not part of that group and my aim is to rally those who have the same goal that I do. The people who feel betrayed by Bush are already divided from your group. You may as well accept that some don't want to be united with the democrats. That's what this "uniter-not-a-divider" hassayampa is all about, merging with the democrats.

You've missed my point. I've already acknowledged that there are differences between pro/anti Bush folks. And if you think I want everyone to like Bush, or to believe as all Bush supporters do, you are sorrily mistaken. I guarantee that every single Bush supporter will disagree with something the President has done, as well as disagree with varying political ideals of the Republican party. The difference is, we can accept these differences. What tends to happen, however, is that people end up attacking the person and not the ideal.

The problem seems to be that you simply can not understand why Bush supporters continue to support him evern though we disagree with some of the things he's done. My reply is very simple- faith, character and trust. Click here for a more detailed explanation.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a world were everyone believes the same thing. How boring would that be? Sounds a bit like controlled thought to me.

I guess the saying, 'it's not what you say, but how you say it' applies. Toodles!
