Jose Padilla was living in the Ft. Lauderdale area and studying Islam at the SAME TIME that Timothy McVeigh was living in Plantation, FL which is right next door to Ft. Lauderdale. This doesn't mean yet that they met, but it does show they had to opportunity to know each other. And I am still wondering about the whereabouts of Jose Padilla in April, 1995.

April 19,1993 watches Waco fire on TV in Decker with the Nichols brothers and then departs for Kingman, with a stop at Waco enroute.

In January 1993 McVeigh left Pendleton, and began to travel, moving himself and his belongings about in a series of battered old cars. He lived in cheap motels and trailer parks, but also stayed with two Army buddies, Michael Fortier in Kingman, Arizona, and Terry Nichols in Decker, Michigan.

Please excuse me if someone has already did a search on this but ..

Doing a Mapquest Driving Directions Search for the following addresses: McVeigh 11240 NW 27th Ct, Plantation, FL and the Taco Bell Padilla is reported to have worked at 2250 S. University, Fort Lauderdale, FL the results state these two locations are 6.92 miles apart.

Distance between McVeigh's known address and Padilla's work address was 6.92 miles.

Mean anything? Maybe, maybe not.
