New Reply to Rocker's Defenders New
"The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. I'm not a very big fan of foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get into this country?"
During the playoffs, he said Mets fans insulted his mother and threw batteries at him.---Were those fans banned?
John's father, Jake Rocker, also had some comments for those oh so polite New York fans. "The fans yell what they are going to do to your daughter, your mother, your wife," --Were those fans banned?
Jake says, and lists the security precautions taken at Shea Stadium for the Braves' visit: Five snipers on
the roof, 500 extra security officers, two each assigned only to his son and Chipper Jones.
In a pregame interview on NBC, Rocker said the worst part of playing in New York was dealing
with the fans who throw objects from the stands. "This is the only place it happens out of 30
ballparks around the country, people making derogatory comments, throwing batteries and
change, trying to do bodily harm. I just think someone needs to speak out and say that we don't
need to hear those things or fear for our safety at a simple baseball game." This shows the level
of maturity that the New York fans have along with their love and respect for the game of
baseball. ..."
That certainly explains why this cretin was banned, but my point still stands about the "farewell posts". Everybody want to pile on the one that's banned and call him/her/whatever names for posting the opus. They can't "fight back",and they can't even answer or contact FR friends to let them know why they don't answer their FR mails or posts.
I dunno. Maybe the best solution would be to have a easily accessable list of "banned posters". You can't get somebody to answer your FR mails or posts, you could go to this list and know they have been banned, instead of ignoring you or maybe even sick or dead.
Toby Keiths new song too patriotic for ABCs Peter Jennings
Toby Keith says the producer of an ABC 4th of July TV special rescinded an offer to have the country singer
perform his current hit after the show's host, World News Tonight anchor Peter Jennings, heard the song and vetoed it.
Peter Jennings-the moderator
And anyone who wants help in that can just let us know.
While I agree he is delusional about the lightening strike (it would have been obvious to others from the smell and the smoke),things like this DO happen. I personally know of a guy who is still alive after taking a hit a 440,000 volt power line, and it blew a 8 inch laced boot right off his foot. It also stopped his heart and knocked him out,but a friend of mine gave him CPR and brought him back. He was back at work the next day. It's even hard to believe it would be possible to remove the boot without untying it,never mind getting hit by that much current and surviving. None the less it happened.
BTW,there is supposed to be a park ranger somewhere in the Smokies who has been hit by lightening 3 or 4 times.
What's his name.....Lucky?
Thanks for all the other chores you undertake, also. FR rules.
Happy Fathers' Day to you and JimRob and all Freepers.
That works good if you can remember how they spell their screen name, where the spaces are, where the capital letters are, etc, etc, etc. It can be considerably harder if you are a airhead who can barely remember your own screen name. Not that this applies to ME,of course! No,no! I'm writing about somebody ELSE! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
I dunno, but I think it is more likely to be "Lonely". I doubt there are many people willing to stand next to him.
