Okey. According to Webster's dictionary and Eerdmans' Handbook to The World's Religions, Odin was the chief god in Germanic mythology. He was a warrior god. I will have to look further though to confirm Hitler's fascination with Odinism. I had read about it though, and one of the History Channel's many shows dealing with Hitler was about that.

Here's a starting place for you. But it should be noted that the Spear of Longinus was not a Odinist or Asatruist relic, but a Christian one. Then there's Hitler's connection to Allistair Crowley....
