Thank you for your important contribution. I always enjoy your posts. So, would you like to give your forefather a FR screen name? If you come up with one, please post it for us. FV
right-at-yorktown might be a good freeper name for Captain Paulin. When I was home schooling my son, I gather a lot of information about our forefathers to encourage his interest in our history. They sure aren't teaching them stories like these in school.
This is a wonderful idea....sharing our "forefathers" on Father's Day weekend. I've been working some on our family tree (plenty of nuts). We've a Civil War Capt., a volunteer in the Pa. militia (Rev. War), a Pa. lumberjack who died bringing logs down the river, an early dentist (ouch), a pianist at the silent movies/early jazz band leader, a plasterer, stonemason, plumber, accountant, farmer.
From my father...Detroit, A Nice Place to Grow Up. (St. Marks Methodist basketball, hockey-Wayne State, UofM-Masters Petr. Geol., WWII Navy, Ad Man, Senior Center volunteer, Elder, father of six, husband 45 years).
Happy Father's Day, Freeper fathers. Your children love you more than you know.
