If Edmunds is involved, the milkman is the guy that busted the case wide open. He should be commended for his vigilance.

[Sure has been a lot of attention given to a "non-suspect."}
Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Oh, he's a suspect all right. At the top of a short list.

The speculation here at FR? Or the police looking at all leads. I guess I prefer to think that the police are being very thorough and looking at everything and everyone. I was talking about the FR speculation. I got kind of caught up in it too.
I hate it when I find myself caught along in a Richard Jewell sort of thing.

Increase the voltage by 20,000 volts and clip the electrode to his other ball. "Vere is zee little girl?!" -=ZAP!=-NOT AFTER THEY DO THIS!! AAYYY!

If they wanted to, they could tie him up for about 25 years on the car thefts today alone.

And I think that is a very human thing to do. We all want to know details, every detail, and pass along little nuggets of information to one another. The only comments I have objected to were the anti-Mormon ones, and the ones who obviously hadn't read any of the details of the case and were willing to blast the family or whomever with their half-baked notions.

Please keep out of the shower, showers should be taken only during a possible terrorist attack. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. LOL! You are of course correct. In all other emergencies, you should lock youself in the basement. If you do not have a basement, a dog house will work. If you don't have a dog, you are out of luck

My thoughts, too.
They can hold Edmunds for car theft if they can put a case together.

Prayers going up for Elizabeth Smart. God, grant the police a break here.

From Hereford, if the perp had proceeded due south, he would have come to Littlefield, where he is now being held. He made a detour west to Clovis and then back...
Littlefield is about 30 miles NW of Lubbock, and all of that is way out on the high plain on the New Mex border, I would bet it is almost 400 miles west of Dallas!

"We've all been on alert to be watching, so when she gave the description and it matched, the officer took a long shot and showed her a picture" Kudos to the Texas Police!

The family and the police need a break in this case, and so does Elizabeth. I'm really hoping that Edmunds has information, otherwise, the police are left with not much.

Bright, but poor--and troubled. He HAD to be crazy, to head for Texas. Should have headed for Peoples Republic of Oregon.
Machine says LITTLEFIELD is 355 miles west of DALLAS, Tx.

Hard to say what they found regarding fingerprint. They had called neighbors first and at least 10 people were inside the home when the police arrived, which may very well have contaminated the crime scene. Whether they all stayed in one room or wandered around the house is hard to say.

I have a funny feeling about this case. The women in the Smart family are all absolutely gorgeous. I was wondering if a jilted lover from someone's past life - or a guy who has admired these women from afar - is behind this horrific abduction. I know what you mean. They aren't just beautiful, they seem to exude a goodness and virtue that is so rare anymore. The pictures with her and her harp just absolutely slay me. I swear my eyes water and I choke up every time I type or say the words "her at the harp."
A woman from a family like that could change my mind about marriage. Any man in his right mind would knock himself out to win the affection of one of these ladies.
Unfortunately, some who are not in their right mind seem to feel the same way.
