First chance to check back in on the Freeperthon since late this afternoon. When last I was here, the "bar" was at 41%! Now it is at 70%! ZOWEEE - thank you fundraisers and thank you donation givers!

A thank you gift is below. These are some of the wild ponies of Shackleford Banks of Carteret County, North Carolina. They say these ponies are descended from Spanish Horses being brought to the "New World" and/or traded for and carried by Spanish and English ships.

If you go to Beaufort, NC, and take a boatride out towards the banks, or just look real hard with binoculars, you can see these ponies there today.

I'm so glad algore invented the internet. It has so much great information. It's a mass library. Do you remember the old days, before the internet and going to the library. I would start research on a topic and get sidetracked. It's worse with the internet, because it's only a click away to check out something else.
