Im a realist, not a legalist, altho those lines smudge together. What I see in here doesn't add up to me re: we need a formal declaration of war. I don't think we can agree becuz we just can't. I hear your argument but it seems whiney to me . No disrespect but we were attacked on our soil. We do not have a specific country to blame as the terrorist networks crosses all int'l borders and uses many different countrymen to do its dastardly deeds. You seem caught up in legalisms. I am not. It does not mean I don;t support the Constitution, I have sworn an oath and have served this country, and if called to do so again , would.

Congress has no stated power to declare peace. We have already suffered because there was no way to hold Congress accounatable for ending an undeclared war or for committing the resources of the nation to "winning" it.
