Seriously I have seen the local population (southern Ca.)go from a very minor Hispanic to a majority hispanic.
I have been living side by side with them for 45 years (a transplanted Arkie) and have seen very little hostility. Most are good family-oriented, industrious, church going folks.
They now are the police, the teachers, and council-persons.
I know LA has some problems, though. There seems to be an influx of a new breed of "immigrant" that doesn't want to become "American".

Since both political parties now have taken to ethnic bidding in their own bid for the power of the government there will come to be seperatist ethnic political fiefdoms catered to and strengthened by both parties. For at least a century American politics has been able to rely on a solid center, but now we have the addition of a growing poltical force that will fetch a pretty price from the parties seeking power. All the talk of materialist assimilation is but boob bait for the American center the real story is where the political power gravitates and it is gravitating to a seperatist movement of Hispanic Leftists who carry a heavy axe for "Whites."
